Papp Ákos, a Wiener Neustadt-i HTL végzős informatikus tanulója már most a nemzetközi robotikaversenyek ismert szereplője. A magyar fiatal nemcsak technikai tudásával, hanem kreatív problémamegoldásaival és csapatmunkájával is kiemelkedik kortársai közül.
Ákos a robotikára és a szoftverfejlesztésre specializálódott, különösen az automatizálás területén érzi otthon magát. Gyakornokként dolgozott már a Bécsi Műszaki Egyetemen (TU Wien) is, ahol mobil robotokat programozott ROS, Python és C++ használatával.
A Trinity nevű csapattal 2025 júniusában harmadik helyezést ért el a VEX AI világbajnokságon, Houstonban, az Egyesült Államokban. A verseny helyszíne lehetőséget adott arra is, hogy a diákok meglátogassák a megmérettetés egyik támogatóját, a NASA-t.
A csapatnak nem ez volt az első nemzetközi sikere. Tavaly, miután megnyerték a bécsi európabajnokságot, kijutottak a GCER világversenyre az amerikai Charlotte városába, ahol szintén harmadik helyezést értek el. A bécsújhelyi HTL egy másik csapata pedig első helyezést szerzett.
A diákok kiemelkedő teljesítményét az osztrák oktatási minisztérium miniszteri kitüntetéssel ismerte el.
Ákos a következő tanévben érettségizik. Célja, hogy tudását a gyakorlatban is kamatoztassa, és továbbfejlessze a modern technológia és a kreativitás határán.

Ákos Papp, a graduating student at the HTL (Higher Technical Institute) in Wiener Neustadt, is already a recognized figure in international robotics competitions. The Hungarian student stands out not only for his technical skills, but also for his creative problem-solving and outstanding teamwork.
Ákos specializes in robotics and software development, with a particular focus on automation. He has also worked as an intern at TU Wien (Vienna University of Technology), where he programmed mobile robots using ROS, Python, and C++.
In June 2025, his team, Trinity, achieved third place at the VEX AI World Championship in Houston, USA. The event also offered the opportunity to visit one of the competition's main supporters — NASA.
This was not the team's first international success. The previous year, after winning the European Championship held in Vienna, the team qualified for the GCER World Championship in Charlotte, North Carolina, where they also secured third place. Another team from the same school even won first place at the event.
The students’ outstanding achievements were recognized by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education with a ministerial award.
Ákos will graduate next school year. His goal is to apply his knowledge in practice and continue developing at the intersection of modern technology and creativity. His connection to the Hungarian language and culture adds a unique dimension to the international field.
